Abita Brewing was founded in 1986 in the piney woods of Abita Springs, Louisiana, 30 miles north of New Orleans. It was the first craft brewery in the Southeast, brewing with pure artesian water drawn from a deep well more than 2,000 years old. It is now celebrating its 40th year.
